KwaZulu Natal Subsistence Fisherfolk Forum (KZNSFF)
The KwaZulu Natal Subsistence Fisherfolk Forum (KZNSFF) was formed in 2003 to address the issues of access to piers and discrimination against black, low income fisherfolk.
There are over 12000 Subsistence Fishers in Durban that depend on fishing for a living.
There is a bag limit of 10 fish per a day.
The types of fish caught varies between seasons.
Current Season- Black Tails, Shad, Salmon, Cobb, Garrick, Daga Salmon, Silver Brim, Karrentine and Sardines
