Food Commons Projects

OV Organics is a small-scale farm operated by the Ocean View Organic Farmers Co-operative. The six farmers started their urban farming journey in early 2019 as interns of a Neighbourhood Farms training project and finished training in early 2020. The farm produces on average 150 weekly boxes of fresh veggies (with 12-14 types of veggies in a box) a month for sale to the community, it also has an on-site bakery capable of baking more than 120 loaves of bread a day (bread and veggies are donated to support three soup kitchens), has a on-site cafe serving pizza, veggie juices and scones, and the start of a nursery.
