Food Commons Projects

Food commons gardens at Wits University main campus which provides food for food stressed students and to supplement the Wits food bank. Food from the garden is also used to stock the communal kitchen, where students can cook their own meals according to taste and culture. We host agroecology training for student volunteers, Wits community and the public. The centre provides a space of dignity for food stressed students.
