SAFSC Activist School on Food Sovereignty and Agroecology 22nd to 25th June 2015

The activist school was targeted at building capacity amongst campaign partners to further strengthen the campaign through sharing education tools on food sovereignty, agroecology and organising resources for building the campaign. The approach of the school was to ensure that the school is lead by grassroots organisers. The SAFSC aimed to use the activist school to achieve the following with activists that attended:

  • Understanding hunger and the food system
  • Understanding Food Sovereignty and the Solidarity Economy Alternative
  • Practical Agroecological training
  • Local organising of the campaign in communities
  • National coordination and campaign building
