Seed Saving and Seedbanking Workshop 4-6 March 2016

Between 4 and 6 March, COPAC hosted a seed saving workshop to build and strengthen the capacity of food sovereignty activists to save seeds and establish indigenous and heirloom seed banks as an alternative to the current seed system which is being infiltrated with GMO’s and harmful pesticides that go along with it. At this workshop, participants gave input into the draft of a seed saving and seed-banking guide which has been put together with the help of experienced and traditional seed savers from across South Africa. Watch this space for the complete seed saving and seed-banking guide.
